Sandra Venneri – London ‘NSTEP Master Trainer and Health Champion
B.Sc. (Hon), Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences
Sandra’s university education began in Biomedical Sciences but she realized her true passion when she was required to take a nutrition course. Her knowledge that many health issues could be prevented with a healthy lifestyle was the new direction she took to help her community. Volunteering her expertise to the snack program at her children’s school, was her introduction to ‘NSTEP. There, she was introduced to ‘NSTEP, and welcomed the opportunity to help other schools with her passion and enthusiasm for a healthier lifestyle for students, staff and their families. Sandra has returned to university to complete her requirements to obtain her Registered Dietitian and Professional Home Economist designations. She looks forward to bringing ‘NSTEP EAT WALK LIVE to more school communities in London, Ontario.
Allyssa Cardy – London ‘NSTEP Coordinator
BA (Hon), Double Major Nutrition& Families and French
Allyssa began her post-secondary education in Nutrition & Dietetics, with a goal to become a dietitian. After teaching local students, she decided that a profession in education was better suited to her personality. Her nutrition background and knowledge combined with her teaching and interpersonal skills make for a great combination working with ‘NSTEP. After meeting Sandra and volunteering with ‘NSTEP, Allyssa welcomed the opportunity to grow as a nutrition educator in hopes to help students in the community of London, On. She looks forward to growing the program along with Sandra and making a name for ‘NSTEP in their community.
