Michelle has 15 years’ experience teaching across the globe where she saw how nutrition and activity is directly linked to students’ academic performance. As a BC educator, she is enthusiastic to be working with NSTEP to work with fellow teachers to help kids make healthier choices in BC schools.

Antonia started with NSTEP as a UBC practicum student in the spring of 2013 and found the experience to be very rewarding. She is currently finishing her major in Kinesiology and minor in Psychology at the University of British Columbia. Her goals encompass working towards achieving a healthier and more active generation of today’s children, tomorrow’s adults . Working with NSTEP will complement her excitement and drive for fitness, healthy living and health promotion.

Dominique started with NSTEP as a UBC practicum student in the spring of 2013 and found the experience to be very rewarding. She has graduated with her Bachelors of Kinesiology and is currently working fulltime as a personal trainer in the lower mainland. Dominique is also involved part-time on research initiatives at UBC that look at the benefits of health and exercise. She has previously worked at a childcare facility for 3 years starting initiatives such as “Food, Fitness, & Fun!” to encourage the children she worked with to make healthy choices. She has a passion to work with children and help them grow into happy and healthy adults. Her goals are driven by a desire to see people get moving and stay active to achieve their health and fitness goals throughout life.
